Welcome to bondr!

Looking for real-world connections that go beyond the digital screen? That’s our mission at bondr. We aim to build services and technologies that enable you to meet people in your community and engage in shared activities based on common interests. We’re not just about digital connections; we’re here to foster genuine, in-person interactions that enrich your life.

To achieve this, we want to be crystal clear about what it means to be part of the bondr community. We want you to know what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and how we can work together to make bondr a vibrant and supportive platform for everyone.

That’s why we’ve created these Terms of Service (“Terms”), our Privacy Policy, and Community Standards (together the “User Agreement”). These documents outline how we operate, how we use your data, and the rules that keep our community safe and welcoming. If anything is unclear, or if you don’t understand something, please reach out to us. We’re committed to transparency and want you to fully understand how bondr works.

If you find reading through this a bit tedious, imagine what it was like writing it! But it’s crucial information for both of us, so please take the time to read it. If you don’t agree with any part of the User Agreement, we ask that you do not use our Services. By using bondr, you’re agreeing to these Terms, and we promise to do our best to live up to them.

1. Who Can Use Our Services
Our Services include all aspects of the bondr mobile applications, our website, and the software and systems powering them.

To use our Services, you must be:
- At least 13 years old. If you’re under the age of consent in your country, a parent or guardian must provide consent for you to use bondr.
- Legally authorized to create an account on behalf of another person, company, organization, government, or other legal entity if you’re not creating an account for yourself.

All references to “you” and “your” in the User Agreement mean both you, the end user, and/or, for accounts created on behalf of another person, company, organization, government, or other legal entity, the person who has the legal authority to create and/or operate the account.

2. Data Protection and Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information you share with us, when it is shared, and how we handle it when you use our Services. By using bondr, you consent to the collection, use, storage, processing, sharing, and transfer of your information to countries where we operate and to partners who help us provide our Services.

3. Content
Be authentic, be kind, and be respectful. Content means profile photos, activity posts, comments, or messages shared through our Services. You are responsible for the Content you share, ensuring you have the right to use it and that it complies with laws and the User Agreement. If your Content violates these terms, we have the right to remove it without complaint.

You own the Content you share on bondr but grant us a license to use it. By sharing with your community or the wider bondr network, you agree to let us use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, publish, transmit, and display the Content in any and all media or distribution methods.

4. Reporting Violative Content
We’re not obligated to monitor Content, but we want bondr to be a place where everyone feels safe. If you see any Content that violates another person’s rights or doesn’t comply with the User Agreement, you can report it through the app or by using the reporting form on our website.

5. Ending Our Services
We may suspend your account if you violate the User Agreement. We operate a 3-strike policy for most issues, meaning after three violations, you will be permanently suspended. Some violations, such as sharing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), will result in immediate and permanent suspension.

If your account is inactive for more than two years, we may delete it, but we’ll notify you first.

6. License to Use Our Services
During your use of our Services, bondr grants you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-assignable, and non-exclusive license to use the software provided as part of our Services. This license exists solely to enable you to use bondr in a manner consistent with the User Agreement.

7. Limitation of Liability
By using our Services, you agree that bondr GmbH, its affiliates, employees, and partners have limited liability to the maximum extent permissible in your country of residence.

8. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by German law. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Berlin, Germany, unless prohibited by the laws of the country where you reside.

9. General
bondr may update the User Agreement at any time. If we make updates, we will notify you 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of bondr after this period means you agree to the updated Terms.
